How We Work

Unlike many charities, all of our money - 100 percent of it - goes into giving kids, teachers and parents a seat at a professional or college game. None of our money goes into operating expenses or overhead.

We raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year and turn that money into direct action. In 2004, we provided more than 70,000 tickets to kids and their families to attend L.A. Kings, Denver Nuggets, L.A. Galaxy, Colorado Avalanche and Denver University Basketball games. That's more than $2 million worth of tickets.

Here's just a sample of what we do.

For NBA Jam Session 2005 we purchased 2,000 tickets, most of which went to organizations such as Children's Hospital. Each child also received an NBA Jam Session T-shirt. We also purchased 2,375 L.A. Galaxy tickets for the 2004 season for 15 home games.

In addition, Eddie's Kids buys 50 lower-level seats per game to Denver Nuggets games for deserving children, as well as 150 upper level tickets per game. Kids also get a special edition inspirational basketball-theme book at the Nuggets games.

We also help sponsor other sports-related charities, such as L.A. Galaxy's Kicks For Kids, which gave us special recognition for reserving a whole section of the Home Depot Center (the Galaxy's stadium) just for special kids.
